01

Services

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Small and medium-sized businesses across the United States — typically teams of one to two hundred people in professional services, e-commerce, healthcare practices, construction and trades, logistics, nonprofits and similar sectors. If your business runs on processes, we can help.

Do you work on-site?

No. All services are delivered remotely through video calls, phone and shared documents. Remote delivery keeps fees lower and scheduling flexible — including evening slots — and it has proven just as effective for operations work.

Which service should I start with if I am not sure?

Most clients start with an Operations Assessment or a workflow analysis. Both give you a clear picture of where your operations stand and what fixing first pays back fastest. Book a consultation and describe the situation — we will tell you honestly if a smaller step makes more sense.

Do you sell or implement software?

We recommend tools where they genuinely help, but we do not sell software, take vendor commissions, or run technical implementations. Our advice stays independent because nothing else rides on it.

02

Process

How does an engagement usually begin?

With a consultation call about your situation and goals. If we are a good fit, you receive a written proposal with scope, deliverables, timeline and a fixed price. Work starts only after you approve it in writing — there are no surprises mid-project.

How much of my team’s time will you need?

For a typical engagement, expect a kickoff call, short interviews with the people involved in the work, and a weekly check-in of about 30 minutes. We plan around your hours and keep the load off your busiest people.

How long does an engagement take?

An Operations Assessment usually takes two to four weeks. Improvement and planning projects typically run four to twelve weeks depending on scope. Every proposal states a timeline in writing before work starts.

What do we receive at the end?

Written, usable deliverables — process maps, procedures, plans or analysis — plus a walkthrough call where we explain every conclusion and hand over all working files. Nothing important lives only in a slide deck.

03

Pricing and payments

How much does an engagement cost?

Every engagement is priced individually and quoted as a fixed fee in the written proposal, before any work begins. The fee depends on scope, team size and timeline — the consultation call exists precisely to define that. See the Engagements and Pricing page for how each format is structured.

How does billing work?

Fixed-scope engagements are invoiced in two parts: 50% at kickoff and 50% on delivery. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Invoices are due within 14 days and payable by ACH bank transfer, major cards or check. Full terms are in our Payment and Billing Policy.

Can I cancel an engagement?

Yes. You can cancel a fixed-scope engagement in writing at any time; you pay for work completed up to the cancellation date and we refund any prepaid amount beyond that. Retainers end with 30 days’ notice. The Refund and Cancellation Policy has the details.

Do you offer free consultations?

The initial consultation call — up to 30 minutes — is free and without obligation. It exists to check whether we can genuinely help. If we cannot, we will say so and point you somewhere useful.

04

Data and confidentiality

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. A mutual confidentiality agreement is standard before any engagement begins — before we see a single internal document.

What happens to the information you collect about our business?

We use it only to deliver your engagement, keep it access-restricted, and delete or return working materials on request after the engagement ends. Form submissions on this website are emailed to us and not stored in a site database. Our Privacy Policy covers the details.

Who will we actually work with?

The consultant who runs your discovery call runs your engagement. Work is never handed off to junior staff or subcontractors without your written approval.

The fastest answer is a conversation.

If your question is about your specific situation, the consultation call will cover more ground than any FAQ can.
