Operational Research
Answers to operational questions, based on your numbers and evidence — not guesswork.
When you face a decision — hire or outsource, expand or consolidate, raise capacity or raise prices — we gather your data, model the scenarios and hand you a recommendation with its assumptions on the table.
01 / Who it is for
Is this you?
Owners standing in front of a decision that is expensive to get wrong, who have data scattered across accounting, sales and operations — and no time to turn it into an answer.
The problems it solves
- Big decisions get made on gut feel because assembling the numbers would take weeks nobody has.
- You cannot tell which service line, location or product actually makes money.
- Demand swings catch you short-staffed one month and overstaffed the next.
- Suppliers and contractors keep their terms because you have no comparison to negotiate from.
02 / What we do
The work, step by step.
-
01
Frame the question precisely, so the analysis answers the decision you actually face.
-
02
Collect the data you already have — accounting exports, sales records, schedules, price lists.
-
03
Analyze costs, capacity, demand patterns and margins; model the realistic scenarios side by side.
-
04
Deliver a recommendation with every assumption and risk stated in writing, so you can challenge it.
03 / Deliverables
What you receive, in writing.
- A research brief framing the question and the decision criteria
- An analysis workbook with the numbers behind every conclusion
- A scenario comparison showing costs, risks and expected outcomes
- A recommendation memo with assumptions and open questions stated plainly
What data do you need from us?
Usually exports from your accounting software, sales or order history, and staffing schedules. We send a short checklist at kickoff; if something is missing, we note the gap and work around it instead of guessing.
Do you build dashboards or reporting software?
No. Operational research answers a specific question and ends. If you need permanent reporting afterwards, we document what to track and can recommend simple tooling.
Is this market research?
No — we analyze your operations and your numbers. For market sizing or customer surveys we can work alongside a market research firm, but that is a separate discipline.
