Project Planning
A clear plan before the work starts — scope, milestones, owners and a budget you can hold.
Before your next system migration, launch or expansion begins, we build the plan that keeps it on rails: written scope, phased milestones, named owners and an honest risk list.
01 / Who it is for
Is this you?
Owners about to start something with a real cost of failure — a software migration, a new location, a product launch, a website rebuild — who want the plan settled before money starts moving.
The problems it solves
- Projects drift for months because “done” was never defined in writing.
- Nobody owns the deadline, so everyone assumes someone else is watching it.
- Scope grows week by week and the budget grows with it.
- Problems surface late because there is no regular moment to raise them.
02 / What we do
The work, step by step.
-
01
Define the scope in writing: what is included, what is explicitly not, and how changes get approved.
-
02
Break the work into phases with milestones, dates and a named owner for each.
-
03
Build the risk register — what could go wrong, how likely it is, and what we do if it happens.
-
04
Set up the weekly rhythm: a short status meeting, a decision log and a one-page status report.
03 / Deliverables
What you receive, in writing.
- A project charter: goal, scope, exclusions and success measures
- A milestone schedule with owners and dependencies
- A responsibility matrix so every task has exactly one accountable person
- A risk register and decision log
- A status report template your team keeps using after we leave
Do you manage the project for us after planning?
Our standard engagement ends with a plan your team runs. If you want ongoing support, the Monthly Advisory Retainer adds regular check-ins, course corrections and a standing call for decisions.
Which project management tools do you use?
Whatever you already have. A shared spreadsheet and a weekly call beat an expensive tool nobody updates. If you have no tooling at all, we set up a simple structure you can keep for free.
Can you rescue a project that is already off track?
Yes. A reset engagement starts with a one-week review of where the project actually stands, then rebuilds scope, schedule and ownership around what is realistically left.
